About me
I am Carolyne Tranquille, passionate about horses since a young age. I grew up in France working my way through the FFE Galops before moving to the UK where I completed a BSc in Equine Science. I was then fortunate enough to work at the Animal Health Trust with Drs Rachel Murray and Sue Dyson over many years investigating risk factors of injury in horses working in various disciplines and how to prevent these from happening, and the effect of rehabilitation techniques on the biomechanics of the horse. I also worked with Professor Lars Roepstorff, from SLU, and his team to optimise the arena surface used at the London 2012 Olympics (and other International events), and more recently Dr Kathryn Nankervis, from Hartpury University, and Dr Russell MacKechnie-Guire from Centaur Biomechanics. My main objectives of all the studies that I worked on was to improve horse welfare.
The majority of the studies that I worked on were commissioned by the British Equestrian Federation or the FEI and I had the privilege of attending many international conferences to share the results of our studies and discuss these further with colleagues.
In 2019 I moved back to France and met Glenn and Trudy Hasker in 2021. In 2023 a new chapter of my life started when I started training to be a saddle fitter with Glenn. In my spare time I train and compete in agility with my working cocker spaniel Ted, whilst Percy enjoys his retirement.
